 भगवान श्री कृष्ण जी का जन्म माता देवकी व वासुदेव जी की आठवीं संतान के रूप में भाद्रपद माह के कृष्ण पक्ष की अष्टमी तिथि को रोहिणी नक्षत्र में मध्य रात्रि 12:00 बजे हुआ था। 

इस बार भाद्रपद कृष्ण पक्ष की अष्टमी तिथि 26 अगस्त, सोमवार को मध्य रात्रि 2:00 बजे तक रहेगी। अतः अबकी बार जन्माष्टमी व्रत 26 अगस्त 2024, सोमवार को रखा जाएगा।

*जन्माष्टमी विशेष-:* 

जन्माष्टमी के दिन पूरे दिन व्रत रखा जाता है। इस दिन भगवान श्री कृष्ण की कथाओं का श्रवण, नाम जप, मंत्र जप इत्यादि किया जाता है। पूरे दिन व्रती व्रत रहने के बाद रात में 12 बजे विधि विधान से भगवान श्री कृष्ण की पूजा करते हैं। इसके बाद भगवान श्री कृष्ण को तुलसी दल के साथ सात्विक वस्तुओं का भोग लगाया जाता है उसके उपरांत व्रती प्रसाद ग्रहण करते हैं।

श्री कृष्ण जन्माष्टमी क्या है

कृष्ण के जन्म से पहले ही उनकी मृत्यु का षड्‍यंत्र रचा जाना और कारावास जैसे नकारात्मक परिवेश में जन्म होना किसी त्रासदी से कम नही था। परन्तु विपरीत वातावरण के बाद भी नंदलाला, वासुदेव के पुत्र ने जीवन की सभी विधाओं को बहुत ही उत्साह से जिवंत किया है। श्री कृष्ण की संर्पूण जीवन कथा कई रूपों में दिखाई पङती है।

नटवरनागर श्री कृष्ण उस संर्पूणता के परिचायक हैं जिसमें मनुष्य, देवता, योगीराज तथा संत आदि सभी के गुणं समाहित है। समस्त शक्तियों के अधिपति युवा कृष्ण महाभारत में कर्म पर ही विश्वास करते हैं। कृष्ण का मानवीय रूप महाभारत काल में स्पष्ट दिखाई देता है। गोकुल का ग्वाला, बिरज का कान्हा धर्म की रक्षा के लिए रिश्तों के मायाजाल से दूर मोह-माया के बंधनों से अलग है।

कंस हो या कौरव पांडव, दोनो ही निकट के रिश्ते फिर भी कृष्ण ने इस बात का उदाहरण प्रस्तुत किया कि धर्म की रक्षा के लिए रिश्तों की अपेक्षा कर्तव्य को महत्व देना आवश्यक है। ये कहना अतिश्योक्ति न होगी कि कर्म प्रधान गीता के उपदेशों को यदि हम व्यवहार में अपना लें तो हम सब की चेतना भी कृष्ण सम विकसित हो सकती है।

कृष्ण का जीवन दो छोरों में बंधा है। एक ओर बांसुरी है, जिसमें सृजन का संगीत है, आनंद है, अमृत है और रास है। तो दूसरी ओर शंख है, जिसमें युद्ध की वेदना है, गरल है तथा निरसता है। ये विरोधाभास ये समझाते हैं कि सुख है तो दुःख भी है।

यशोदा नंदन की कथा किसी द्वापर की कथा नही है, किसी ईश्वर का आख्यान नही है और ना ही किसी अवतार की लीला। वो तो यमुना के मैदान में बसने वाली भावात्मक संवेदना की पहचान है। यशोदा का नटखट लाल है तो कहीं द्रोपदी का रक्षक, गोपियों का मनमोहन तो कहीं सुदामा का मित्र। हर रिश्ते में रंगे कृष्ण का जीवन नवरस में समाया हुआ है।

Lord Shri Krishna was born as the eighth child of Mata Devaki and Vasudev Ji on the Ashtami Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Bhadrapada month at 12:00 midnight in Rohini Nakshatra.

This time the Ashtami Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Bhadrapada will remain till 2:00 midnight on Monday, 26 August. Hence, this time Janmashtami fast will be observed on Monday, 26 August 2024.

On Janmashtami, fast is observed throughout the day. On this day, listening to the stories of Lord Shri Krishna, chanting the name, chanting mantras etc. are done.  After observing fast for the whole day, the devotees worship Lord Shri Krishna at 12 o'clock in the night with rituals. After this, Lord Shri Krishna is offered satvik items along with Tulsi leaves, after which the devotees take the prasad.

What is Shri Krishna Janmashtami

The conspiracy to kill Krishna even before his birth and his birth in a negative environment like imprisonment was no less than a tragedy. But despite the adverse environment, Nandlala, the son of Vasudev, has lived all the aspects of life with great enthusiasm. The complete life story of Shri Krishna is seen in many forms.

Natwarnagar Shri Krishna is the symbol of that completeness in which the qualities of all are included, including humans, gods, Yogiraj and saints. Young Krishna, the lord of all powers, believes only in karma in Mahabharata. Krishna's human form is clearly visible in the Mahabharata period.  The cowherd of Gokul, Kanha of Braj, are away from the web of relationships and are free from the bonds of attachment and illusion for the protection of religion.

Be it Kansa or Kaurava Pandava, both are close relations, yet Krishna presented the example that for the protection of religion, it is necessary to give importance to duty rather than relationships. It would not be an exaggeration to say that if we adopt the teachings of Karma Pradhan Geeta in practice, then the consciousness of all of us can also develop like Krishna.

Krishna's life is tied in two ends. On one side is the flute, which has the music of creation, joy, nectar and Raas. On the other side is the conch, which has the pain of war, poison and dullness. These contradictions explain that if there is happiness, there is also sorrow.

The story of Yashoda Nandan is not the story of any Dwapar, it is not the narration of any God and neither the play of any incarnation. It is the identity of the emotional sensitivity residing in the plains of Yamuna. Sometimes he is Yashoda's naughty son, sometimes Draupadi's protector, sometimes the charm of the gopis and sometimes Sudama's friend. Krishna's life, colored in every relationship, is immersed in nine rasas.
